Fouad Zmokhol Elected Vice President of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF)
In a significant development for the global Francophone academic community, Professor Fouad Zmokhol has been elected Vice President of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF). The decision was made during the organization’s recent board meeting held in Dakar, Senegal.
Professor Zmokhol currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut and is President of the International Association of Lebanese Businesspeople (MIDEL). His appointment reflects both his longstanding contributions to academia and his leadership within international business networks.
Commenting on his election, Professor Zmokhol expressed his deep gratitude to the board members for their confidence, emphasizing his commitment to strengthening the influence of the Francophone academic space. He highlighted plans to foster collaboration among member institutions, support innovative initiatives in education and research, and enhance youth employability across Francophone countries.
The AUF is one of the largest global university networks, bringing together more than 1,000 higher education and research institutions across approximately 120 countries.
